These days being a temp is more about supplementing income, gaining experience and educating yourself on different industries or as a way to create a flexible work schedule. While some individuals do turn to temp work after a layoff or in between full-time work, many New Yorkers find temp work as a great alternative to earning money while they pursue their art. Writers, performers and students, for example, are finding temp work as a solution to their busy and often unpredictable schedules. But how do you know where to go? If you Google "temp work nyc" you receive unrelated results or websites that list hundreds of temp agencies in the New York area. If you look in the Yellow Pages, you find the same long listings. So, why choose TempTrends?

TempTrends New York is a boutique temporary administrative and event staffing company. From the moment you walk through our doors, you feel welcome...in fact, our offices do look more like a loft apartment, than your typical office. Instead of a cubicle you will find antique chairs, vintage furniture and chandeliers. After you complete our application (on a very trendy, hand-made clipboard!), you will sit down with 1-2 recruiters to talk about your work experience, expectations, availability and interests.
